Beyond the Numbers was everything I needed and more. Through the program, I learned from incredible mentors and community partners, received one-on-one guidance that strengthened my personal statement, and gained the confidence I needed before applying to law school. After completing the BTN program, I knew I belonged in the legal profession. I am deeply grateful to Dánae and Moriah for their dedication—not only to my future, but to me as a person. They approached mentorship with intentionality, care, and an unwavering belief in my potential. I could not recommend this program more highly. No matter where you are in the application process, BTN provides the support and guidance you need. I am proud to have learned from such incredible women.

Dánae and Beyond the Numbers played a huge role in my acceptance to my dream law school, Penn State Dickinson Law. From detailed feedback on my resume to thoughtful, honest revisions of my personal statement, Dánae provided insight that strengthened every part of my application. She wasn’t just a professional mentor—she became someone I could confide in on a personal level. As a first-generation law student, having her in my corner made all the difference. Dánae pours her heart into everything she does, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been on the receiving end of her guidance. I highly recommend Beyond the Numbers to any student looking for meaningful, transformative support on their law school journey.

Before discovering the Beyond the Numbers program, I was on the verge of giving up on my dream of becoming an attorney. After taking the LSAT multiple times and receiving a score that felt defeating, I truly believed my application would never be enough. I began to feel like I was reduced to a number, one that didn’t reflect my potential or lived experience.Everything changed when I learned about Beyond the Numbers. From the very beginning, Danae restored my hope. She worked closely with me to build a compelling, authentic law school application that highlighted my story, my resilience, and my purpose. We focused heavily on crafting strong, meaningful essays that allowed admissions committees to understand who I was beyond the metrics.
With Danae’s guidance and unwavering support, I was accepted into multiple law schools and awarded scholarships. Opportunities I once thought were out of reach suddenly became real. The program didn’t just help me get into law school—it affirmed that I belonged there.
What truly sets Beyond the Numbers apart is Danae’s continued commitment to her mentees. Even after law school acceptance, she remained invested in my success and supported me through bar preparation.
Beyond the Numbers gave me more than admissions results, it gave me confidence, direction, and belief in myself when I needed it most. For anyone who feels discouraged by test scores or overlooked by traditional metrics, this program is proof that your story matters and that your dream is still possible.

I had the opportunity to work with Danae and Moriah for the Fall 2023 application cycle. Through BTN, I was able to engage with prospective applicants like me, have access to workshops, and receive application coaching. It provided me with the one-on-one support and community I needed to navigate the rigorous application process. I can attest that Danae’s advice works! I would highly recommend BTN.

San Francisco School of Law

My name is Viviana Sanchez and I am a third-year law student at the University of San Francisco School of Law. Beyond the Numbers connected me with students from diverse backgrounds who shared a common goal: gaining admission to law school through a holistic application process, not just GPA or LSAT scores. Most students were first generation and it made it even more powerful. I really enjoyed working with the founder, Danae. The program fostered a strong sense of community and allowed me to connect with prospective law students in the Bay Area and also through social media – for those in different states. We would meet every other week/ biweekly and discuss different topics from goal setting, writing strategies, and more. Most times, I felt like I had an older sister guiding me through my law school admission journey – one that had experienced it herself. I received valuable mentorship and guidance on how to tell my story (personal statement) and navigating my law school application challenges. I highly recommend becoming a member of Beyond the Numbers, you are more than your numbers.
